Marriage support Golden heart scheme

Women empowerment has been one of the key focus areas of Malabar Charitable Trust since its inception. Understanding the importance that every parents, regardless of their financial status, places on their girl child’s marriage, MCT takes it upon itself to ensure that financial constraints that a family faces do not become a stumbling block when it comes to their child’s wedding. Accordingly, under the banner of “GOLDEN HEART”, MCT cooperates with Malabar Gold & Diamonds outlets in India to provide financial assistance to families from the economically disadvantaged section of society to conduct their child’s marriage.

Golden Heart is a flagship initiative by Malabar Charitable Trust (MCT) launched on 3rd May 2019 to support women in indigent circumstances to conduct their marriage. Malabar Group entities through Malabar Charitable Trust distributed 7.85 Crore worth sovereign gold ornaments in the first phase. As per the CSR Act, since issuing of the Gold ornaments do not come under the purview of CSR Activities, financial assistance was given directly to the bride.
